Boom Supersonic, the company building the new supersonic airliner, has selected the Honeywell Anthem integrated flight deck for its Overture aircraft.

As part of the agreement between the two companies, Honeywell’s next-generation flight deck and its modular avionics platform will be incorporated into Overture.

Unveiling the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck


Boom’s decision to integrate the Honeywell Anthem flight deck into Overture marks a further key step in the development of supersonic flight technology.

The Honeywell Anthem flight deck configuration is essentially tailor made for Overture’s specific mission requirements.

This integration aims to provide Overture flight crew with exceptional situational awareness and an enhanced safety net. also ensuring a seamless transition from simulator-based training to actual flights.

A Glimpse into the Future


Honeywell’s next-generation flight deck represents quite a technological leap forward.

Boasting a modular avionics platform, this advanced interface promises a continuum of experience for Overture pilots, from their initial simulator-based training sessions to the exhilarating reality of supersonic flights.

Towards Certification

The completion of the first flight of the Anthem integrated flight deck using the Pilatus PC-12 test aircraft in May 2023 marks a significant milestone.

This achievement propels the collaboration towards Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification, solidifying the Honeywell Anthem flight deck as a cornerstone of Overture’s success.

This synergy of vision is poised to create one of the most advanced flight decks globally, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to reduce pilot workload and elevate safety standards.

The partnership with Boom Supersonic is the latest part of a collective effort to usher in a new era of supersonic travel.

Milestones Since Paris Air Show


Since the pivotal moment at the Paris Air Show in June 2023, Boom Supersonic has been on an upward trajectory, significantly expanding its supplier network.

The addition of tier-one global aerospace leaders underscores the robust foundation being laid for the development of Overture.

Overture will fly at twice the speed of today’s airliners and is optimized to run on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Overture’s order book stands at 130 aircraft, including orders and pre-orders from American Airlines, United Airlines, and Japan Airlines.

Boom is working with Northrop Grumman for government and defense applications of Overture.

Suppliers and partners collaborating with Boom on the Overture program include Aernnova, Aciturri, Collins Aerospace, Eaton, Honeywell, Latecoere, Leonardo, Safran Landing Systems, and the United States Air Force.

Symphony™ is the propulsion system that will power Overture, a Boom-developed engine with world-class suppliers including Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT), a business unit of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., GE Additive, and StandardAero.
